ABSTRACT

    This research was a development. The procedures were Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). The audiovisual media output model of this research will become a model or a template, ready to use for teaching English to the sixth grade students of primary schools in North Pontianak Sub-District.
The pre-observation found that there were several constraints faced by the teachers in preparing ICT- based instructional media. With this assumption, the development proposed to use audio-visual instructional media to help the teacher to facilitate them to deliver the learning materials in the classroom.
The Audiovisual instructional media was created using Microsoft Power-point 2007 facilities such as Slide Master, Custom Animation, Hyperlinks and Developer Tab, in form of templates that can be modified or applied in the classroom. The manual also provided, so that each procedure easier to adapt or to use by the users. The users will be intended to learn the relevant functions and can develop their own product in the future.
The implementation of the product can be expressed in general, was well functioned and can be used in the learning process, because there were no big difference among the aspects of learning, material, and media when the product was try outing in the classroom. The use of audiovisual instructional media developed by researchers also included in the Very Good category according to the teacher experience in using the media. Moreover, the media expert concludes that the use of audio-visual instructional media developed by researchers included in the Good category. Thus, audiovisual instructional media that developed was applicable to help teacher in teaching English in the primary school in North Pontianak.
