Accreditation

Our standard says that this study program should officially operate with a minimum predicate of accreditation “B” from the National Board of Accreditation for Higher Education. However, this is a new study program and has not been assessed. The study program has already proposed an accreditation assessment to National Board of Accreditation for Higher Education. At the moment we are waiting for the assessment team from the board. Considering the preparation that we have already done, we are confident that we will be scored good.

Based on the rule, every study program that has obtained operation permit from the Minister of Education and Culture of Republik Indonesia may operate officially with a predicate of accreditation equals “C”. This study program has obtained a Minister of Education and Culture Letter of Decree (SK Mendikbud), that is an operation permit to give formal education service of Master of Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Based on the decree, those who finish from this study program will be conferred an academic title Magister Pendidikan (M.Pd.) or Master of Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (MEdTEFL). The Mendikbud’s letter of decree is Number 280/E/O/2012 tentang Penyelenggaraan Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (S2) pada Universitas Tanjungpura di Pontianak. The letter was issued on (dated) 24 Agustus 2012, signed by the Director of Higher Education DJOKO SANTOSO on behalf of the Minister of Education and Culture of Republik Indonesia.
