Regina

Dr. Regina, M.Pd.

Regina was born on 23 August 1960 in Landak District, West Kalimantan. She finished her study in English language education (TEFL), respectively from  Tanjungpura University (Doktoranda, 1986), IKIP Malang (Masters, 1997), and The State University of Malang (Doctor, 2003).

Since 1987, she is assigned to teach various subjects to the undergraduate students of Undergraduate Study Program of English Language Education. Recently she is also scheduled to teach the Indonesian and English masters study programs.  She teaches Research in Education and Language Teaching, Language Testing, Sociolinguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Speaking for Academic Presentation, and Seminar on English Language Teaching, Research Approach, and Advanced English Grammar.

Her main interest of research concerns education, linguistics and culture. She also often presented papers in local, national, and international seminars or conferences. She is also active writing papers for local and national journals. She was a researcher of Institut Dayakologi (ID) and headed the editorial board of Journal Dayakologi that publishes in two languages, Indonesia and English.

Regina once chaired the non-regular program of English Language Education, Teacher Training and education Faculty, Tanjungpura University (2004–2007); and chaired Language Center of Tanjungpura University (2007-2013). Since 2010 until now she is assigned as Regional Coordinator of  profesional organization called  Teaching English as Foreign Language in Indonesia (TEFLIN), West Kalimantan Chapter.
