Clarry Sada

Foto ClarryDr. Clarry Sada, M.Pd. was born on 15 August 1960 in Nanga Kantuk, West Kalimantan. He obtained “Doktorandus” in English Language Education from Tanjungpura University (1989), Masters in English Language Education from The State University of Malang (2002), and Doctor in General Education from The Education University of Indonesia, Bandung (2011).

Since 1991 he teaches as a lecturer in Undergraduate English Language Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tanjungpura University. Since 2012 he is also assigned to teach subjects in Masters Study Program of English Language Education. His subjects include Curriculum and Teaching Material Development, TEFL Assessment, and Intercultural Communication and Education.

He is also active in research. Some of the research topics are Education Mapping at the border line (2006), Border Community’s Perception on  Education in the Back Country (2007), Study on Borderline Education: Picture of Acceptability and Participation of Community in 9 Year Education at the Borderline of Sambas and Sanggau Districts, West Kalimantan (2009), Character Education Model in Senior High Schools in Bengkayang District (2010), and Education Masterplanning in  Bengkayang District (2011). This lecturer is also active presenting his ideas and research findings locally, nationally, and internationally.

Clarry Sada is also often involved in teaching trainings like Training of Trainers (TOT) for Contextual Teaching and Learning 1 and 2 (2002/2003), Short Course on Community Development (JICA-BAPPEDA Kalimantan Barat) (2003), Management Training on Human Resources (2006), International Training on Social Science Research in Baguio City (2007), and Writing English Language Competence for Secretaries (2008).

His managerial experience includes Operational Director of Data Computer Indonesia (1994-1999), Director of Finance and Banking Academy Grha Artha Pontianak (2004-2006), Chair of Advanced School of Teacher Training and Education, Melawi (2007-now), and Chair of Dayak Culture Study Center, Tanjungpura University (2006-2013). He also involves in “Dayak Adat Council of West Kalimantan Province” (2009-now), and National Dayak Adat Council (2009-now)
