Dr. Yohanes Gatot Sutapa Yuliana, M.Pd.

Yohanes Gatot Sutapa Yuliana is a lecturer of Undergraduate and Masters Study Program of English Language Education, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tanjungpura University. He obtained his undergraduate degree in   English language education from Tanjungpura University, Masters in English language education from The State University of Malang, and Doctor in Technology and Vocational Education from The State University of Yogyakarta. Although he graduated from Technology and Vocational Education, this lecturer wrote his doctoral dissertation on English teaching material development for vocational schools. He also attended sandwich-like for visiting scholar program in University of Illinois at Urbana USA.

This lecturer teaches subjects like Research Approaches, TEFL Assessment, TEFL Methodologies, Academic Writing and Presentation, and Research Paper. He is also expert in school curriculum development.

To develop his academic potentials, he often attends local, national, and international seminars or conferences. For instance, he attended Joint-Seminar on Vocational Education in Universiti Sain Malaysia Penang, Joint-Seminar on Education in Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, International Conference on English Teaching Materials in Tanjungpura University Pontianak, International Seminar on Vocational and Training  in The State University of Yogyakarta , and English for Immigrants in Community College , USA. He often writes articles for local and campus newspapers/ journals.

In addition to teaching, he is a social activist. He involves in rural development particularly in non-formal education. He also actualizes his organization skill in English Language Teaching Materials Association (ELTeaM) chairing Publication Division (2012–now).
